STOMP contributor Caserina was flabbergasted and disgusted by this woman, whom he calls “the epitome of national disgrace”.
His revulsion at her actions stemmed from her rushing into the cabin of an MRT on 16 January at the Bukit Batok Station, and her using two seats as a bed subsequently.
Recounted Caserina, in the email sent to STOMP:
“On that day, I noticed that two corner seats were available on the train as it approached the station platform. This woman stood in front of me, looking eager and all. I thought it would be great as we could each have a seat.
However, when the doors opened, she dashed for the seats. Yes, both seats. To do what? To sleep.”
The STOMPer told us the woman commuter “closed her eyes and slept immediately, and didn’t even bother to look around if anyone else wanted a seat.”
All the reader did was to stand there, in what he says, “in shock and disgust”.
He wonders:“Everyone pays the train fare, so what makes her a VIP to have the privilege to have two seats?”
Caserina wants to make a call out to those who know this woman, to tell her “not to behave badly as it really reflects badly on the quality of mankind.”
