Google?; Monday, August 13, 2007

Hello, qing ai de du zhe aka dear readers. I have something to clarify with you guys. And don't worry, I'll control my language in this post (x

Do note that phrases/sentences in bold were said by some forumite@PPF.

Google - fucking super useful search engine that answer to ALL YOUR NEEDS? Well, I doubt so.

"Point 1: Google gives us a lot more space for discovery
When we google, what we get is not that one or two links, but pages and pages of information that may or may not be relevant to what you want. Hence, you are often able to find out about things that you always wanted to know but never thought about finding."

I don't know about others but for me, I'd rather save some time to shake my legs somewhere around my house. I only need what I asked for, others are just nonsense.

"ever heard of the term spoon-feeding?"

Yes darling, of course I do. But hey, you ask questions when you're REALLY in doubt, right? Really as in, you can't find the answer anywhere, including Google. Alright, if you're THAT pro with Google, then do me a flavor. Help me find erm, Girl I Told Ya by Valeria's lyrics, WITH GOOGLE. Well, I can't find it. If you can... alright, I'm blind.

"But sorry my dears, it's actually that when you give people links from google, you are actually doing them a lot more harm."

O RLY?

And I totally agreed what our dear YW said.

"When you ask some one to use google, he would be finding answers from a paper. If someone is kind enough to slow explain to him or tell him about the information, he would be finding answers from a teacher. Why not you tell your teacher the answers on the paper > her? If you are so lazy to help, please don't bother to reply him, telling him to google. You are not helping at all. Yes, he can get his answers from there, but what if he needs more help and he is the first one to met trouble with it? Oh, he is doomed. He might be rushing for a presentation tomorrow, and the virus he had is unique, you guys sit around, and starting say, rofl noob go google. Asking someone to google is not cool at all, if you don't want to help, don't post at all. Why he post in a forum might be that, he can't find answers from google/yahoo/altavista/chacha. HE NEED REAL HUMAN TO HELP HIM. So please stop posting posts telling people to use google."

I felt a great sense of relief when I saw his post. Finally, something sensible + logical!
